CONTRACT JOB OPENINGS

  • We currently have a small team of 3 editors and one assistant editor and we are looking to add an additional Wedding Film Editor to the team. This position is on a project-to-project basis so it could be a great job for a freelance editor or someone trying to make extra money on the side! You can work from home and more or less at your own pace as deadlines are not super intense.

We edit in a fairly routine style but within that format there is a lot of room for creativity! We will work together and get you trained to look at and put together the footage the way we do. I usually work fairly closely with the editor on the first 1-2 films and then you will be able to work with less oversight. You will have to be open to revisions but typically only one round is required!

    • Proficient with editing and Premiere experience is ideal!

    • Premiere is required - you cannot work in a different editor as we have a set workflow

    • Technically proficient editor with the ability to be creative and craft a story

    • Understanding of audio editing (basic work within Premiere)

    • Potential to also color correct, but is not required for this position

    • You will edit with Proxy footage so a super-fast computer is not required!

    • Open to learning and adapting

  • We have a small but growing team at Parallel Weddings, and we are needing to add 1-2 additional Second Shooters to our roster! If you are wanting to be a freelancer but don’t have gear then this could be a great position for you as all the gear to capture a wedding is provided by us! You simply have to bring your skill on the day of. But you don’t need previous wedding experience - we will have meetings beforehand to go over how we work and can even meet up for training on our gear if required! You just need a full understanding of camera settings and how to properly frame and expose video and we’re good to go!

We film on Panasonic GH cameras (experience with them is not required but could be useful)

We do all manual focus, just to prepare yourself for that if you aren’t used to it!

The lead shooter will use the gimbal so no experience with that is required - you will mainly be on a tripod or monopod using a Sigma 50-100mm F1.8.
